2 Step Brightening Protocol
The Brighten + Fade Duo
Achieve a clearer, brighter complexion with our Brighten + Fade Duo – perfect for anyone experiencing hyperpigmentation, dullness and uneven skin tone. The Gentle Resurfacing Liquid resurfaces and helps to clarify dull, congested skin whilst the Pigmentation Corrector Serum targets dark spots, post-blemish marks and reduces redness for clearer, more luminous skin.
THE DETAILS
- Smooths & Refines A carefully calibrated acid blend dissolves dead skin cells and unclogs pores to reveal visibly smoother, more refined skin with continued use.
- Brightens & Evens Works on 12 different pathways to addresses dark marks, post-blemish scarring and sun damage at the root.
- Collagen Defence Helps to neutralise free radicals and inhibit glycation — the process that breaks down collagen and accelerates the signs of ageing.
The Brighten + Fade Duo brings together two powerful Deviant Skincare formulas to resurface and refine the skin whilst helping reduce the appearance of dark spots and post-blemish marks.
The Gentle Resurfacing Liquid is a leave-on exfoliant containing a blend of AHA’s (including Mandelic and Lactic Acid), BHA (Salicylic Acid) and PHA to gently resurface the skin, clear out pores and reduce blemishes. Green Tea and Licorice Root help brighten, whilst Mushroom and Centella Extract calm and hydrate the skin. The result? Exfoliation without irritation.
A next generation treatment serum, the Pigmentation Corrector Serum is supercharged with 8 innovative technologies to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone for a clearer, more luminous complexion. Pigmentation-busting heavyweights include patent-pending biomimetic peptides, an Azelaic Acid derivative to reduce redness and target uneven skin tone and Diglucosyl Gallic Acid, an intelligent molecule that’s activated by your skin’s own microbiome and has sixty times more brightening power than Kojic Acid.
This two-step treatment protocol is ideal if you:
- You have sun damage or dark spots that won't shift
- You break out, every spot leaves a mark
- Your skin is uneven, dull or textured
- You are starting to see fine lines and wrinkles
- Your skin can't tolerate Vitamin C
Triple-Acid Complex
A multi-acid approach to exfoliation. Mandelic, Lactic, Glycolic, Citric and Malic Acid (AHAs) gently loosen and lift dead skin cells to smooth texture and improve brightness, while Salicylic Acid (BHA) penetrates into the pore lining to dissolve congestion and reduce blemishes. Together they target multiple concerns without the harshness of single high-strength acids.
Gluconolactone (PHA)
A next-generation polyhydroxy acid that exfoliates at the skin's surface with minimal irritation potential. PHAs also act as humectants, attracting water to the skin to maintain hydration during the exfoliation process, making this particularly suited to drier or more sensitive skin types.
Acetyl Glycyl Beta-Alanine
This amino acid compound helps control how much pigment the skin produces and how it moves into skin cells, reducing the look of uneven tone.
Diglucosyl Gallic Acid
This novel molecule is created using biotechnology. It’s activated by the skin’s microbiome and has sixty times more brightening power than kojic acid as well as boasting anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits too.
Nonapeptide-1
Nonapeptide-1 helps regulate pigment by calming the signals that tell skin to produce excess melanin.
Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate
A new generation Azelaic Acid derivative. Like the original it helps reduce blemishes, pigmentation and redness but is mixed with glycine for extra hydration benefits. It’s equally great for normalizing skin with an overproduction of sebum.

How quickly will I see results?
Most customers notice skin looking brighter and clearer within two to three weeks. Visible fading of dark spots and post-acne marks typically takes four to eight weeks of consistent daily use.

Can I use this duo morning and evening?
The Pigmentation Corrector Serum can be used morning and evening. The Gentle Resurfacing Liquid is should only be used once a day, or 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin's tolerance.
Can I use this alongside retinol or tretinoin?
Can I use this alongside retinol or tretinoin?
The Pigmentation Corrector Serum can be layered with any retinoid, including prescription strength.
With the Gentle Resurfacing Liquid, we do not recommend layering it in the same routine as a retinoid. Instead, we'd recommend alternating nights. So if you use the Retinal Clarity Serum on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, use the Gentle Resurfacing Liquid on Tuesday and Thursday. Always make sure to
listen to your skin. Any persistent redness, tightness or sensitivity is a sign to scale back.
Can I use this duo if I also have sensitive or reactive skin?
Can I use this duo if I also have sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes, but start slowly. The Gentle Resurfacing Liquid contains a blend of exfoliating acids and we'd recommend beginning with every other evening before building to daily use, to allow your skin to adjust.
The Pigmentation Corrector Serum is gentle and well-tolerated by sensitive skin.
If you experience sustained redness or irritation, scale back frequency rather than stopping entirely.
